Engraved title to the third volume, 40 (of 42?) engraved plates by Launay, de Lorraine, Duclos, Flipart, Helman, Le Vasseur, Leveau, de Longueil, Masquelier, Massard based on a design by Gravelot (some occasional spotting, browning, some dampstaining, a few small tears and small woodworm holes). Contemporary marbled gilt calf with double fillet on the plates, panelled spine with gilt titles and decorations, marbled edges and endpapers (light wear and scratches). The lot is sold as a binding and is not subject to return; please note that vol. 26 ends with the 3H4 card and not with 3V2.
