First edition of this small treatise dedicated to court etiquette addressed by the author to his twelve-year-old daughter Lavinia about to move to the Savoy court. The work opens with a dedicatory letter from Lavinia to her father in which the girl stated that she preferred to print the only copy of the "Ragionamento" because: "il copiarla a mano richiesto troppo tempo, visti i suoi numerosi impegni a corte, e data inoltre la commodità delle stampe, che sono in questa Città". 8vo (205 x 145mm). Savoy coat of arms on title, headpieces and woodcut initials (light browning, some stains on title, small restoration with integration to the lower right margin of the first leaves which does not touch the text). Modern full leather binding with gilt title on the first plate.
