MIRÓ, Joan (1893-1983) - Jacques PRÉVERT (1900-1977) - Adonides. Paris: Maeght, 1975. Presentation copy from the editor to Henri Giaume, Marguerite Maeght's cousin and vice-president of the Louis-Dreyfus bank in New York, n. 53 in perfect conditions of 200 (from a total edition of 225) on papier d'Arches paper sometimes decorated in blind. Complete with all etchings and aquatints including the double-page which is signed and numbered by Mirò. Signed at the colophon in pencil by the artist and in red pencil by the publisher, while Prevert's signature is printed. 4to grande (392 x 330mm). Each sheet with protective tissue paper (occasional light offsetting). In loose sheets as issued, within the original wrappers in Auvergne paper decorated in blind and preserved in the original blue cloth box with the title on coloured cloth label on spine. Provenance: inscribed by the editor on frontespiece to Henry Gianme (?) in 1980 "pour Henri Gianme ce livre qui a demandé tant de peines (pour le realiser) et donné tant de joies dont celle aujourd'hui de le lui dédicaeer".
