The work is dedicated to the training of cavalry troops divided between lancers, arquebusiers, cuirassiers and others. 4to (282 x 185mm). Engraved frontispiece, initials and headpieces, 16 fine engraved plates, double page or folding illustrating soldiers, troops and battles (title repaired at lower margin, occasional browning and a few repaired tears to some of the large folding plates, a larger tear to figure XVI, without final blank). Contemporary half vellum over decorated paper plates, red speckled edges (extremities lightly rubbed).
